APPLYING FOR A ROOM

Q. Do I need to pay a holding deposit?

A. Yes, a 2 week bond is required to secure your unit for the coming semester/ start of year. 

​

Q. Is my holding fee refundable?

A. No.

​

Q. What is the next stage after booking?

A. Once we have received your bond, you are required to complete and return either in person or electronically, your occupancy and registration form. On check in, you will be asked to provide proof of identity and two weeks rent. You must set up a payment plan. After this you will be issued your key card.

Q. Do I need proof that I am a student?

A. Yes. You will need to supply a copy of your enrollment letter and a student card from your institution that you are/intending to study with.

CONTRACT OBLIGATIONS

 

Q. What do I do if I want to extend my lease?

A. You will need to give written notice, 30 days prior your leasing ending. Extensions are subject to availability and can be discussed with staff. 

​

Q. Can I leave earlier than my check out date?

A. Yes, you can. However, if you have booked for a 12 month contract, the difference between the two rates is chargeable as an exit fee and is payable prior to your departure. Failure to abide by this rule will equate in the forfeiture of your bond. 

 

Please note: your contract is a binding agreement and you are legally required to stay for the full length of the given contract period. Please review your contract before signing.

ROOM FEES 

 

Q. How can I pay for my rent?

A. You can make payments via credit/debit card at the reception office or via direct debit. Payment due date is either fortnightly or monthly.

​

Q. Do I have to pay for utility bills such as: electricity, gas, water or Wifi?

A. No, all bills mentioned above are included in the accommodation fee.

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. You will need:

  • Bedding (Linen & Pillows)

  • Towels

  • Toiletries

  • Toilet Paper

  • Personal Items to make your room homely. 

  • Clothes

PROPERTY AMENITIES 

 

Q. Is the student accommodation secure?

A. The safety and security of our students is a high priority. CCTV cameras are installed throughout the property and in all common areas, parking, outside area and hallways. Our staff members are available 24 hours on call for emergencies and in the office from 9:00 am - 7:00pm, 7 days a week. Each building requires access by key card or code specific to that building, only students and staff hold these keys.

Q. Is there parking available?

A. Yes, we have off street car parking available that is free for all students and guests. 

​

Q. What is included in my room?

A. Our standard rooms include a single / double bed, mattress, mattress protector, built-in wardrobes, desk and desk chair, mini bar fridge, LCD TV. 

​

Q. Where do I cook my dinner?

A. At the end of the hallway there is a large communal kitchen, lounge area. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you will need.

​

Q. Can I smoke in my room?

A. No. All of our rooms are non-smoking. There is a smoking area outside where our large BBQ area is situated. 

​

Q. Is there an onsite laundry?

A. Yes, we have a coin operated washing machine, dryer and clothes line available that you have access to with your room key.

DEPARTURE

 

Q. How do I arrange check out.

A. You must inform reception staff of your check out date 14 days in advance. You must follow the terms and conditions outlined in your contract for check out cleaning procedures and arrangement of your bond return.

Q. Does my room need to be checked by staff before I leave?

A. Yes, your room must be checked by staff before you leave to ensure your room is clean to the standard you received your room. 

​

Q. Can I pay for the staff to clean my room?

A. Yes, you can. However, you will be charged a cleaning fee that will be determined by how long it takes us to clean your room and the state of which your rooms is in.
